WHAT WE DO

OUR PLAN

The initial plan for Granting Opportunities is to provide opportunities to BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other underserved students in our community. We are starting small, with specific opportunities for students at Franklin High School, by offering grants to pay for college courses via the UW in High School Program as well as supporting programs and opportunities that cannot be funded without our support (e.g., student leadership organizations that need funding to assist with the cost of a prom, extended field trips, and more)

In the longer term, we hope to expand our reach to additional school communities in the region, to continue providing opportunities for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and underserved students. We will continue to grow our network of educators, donors and grant recipients to provide new and innovative ideas for opportunities to level the playing field for our students across the city.

OUR INTENTION

Our objective is to grant the majority of our donations to recipients by keeping administrative expenses low and paying them out of non-donated funds when necessary.

Whatever size donation you can make, every bit will help, so please help us get this foundation off the ground. By making a single or regularly scheduled donation, together, we can provide opportunities that currently do not exist for BIPOC, LGBTQ+ and other underserved student populations.
