Eric and Brian are Western Washington natives. Eric has spent 30+ year career in the Seattle Public School system, both as an administrator and teacher, currently teaching Media Arts at Franklin High School. Brian has been a business leader across several local organizations, the last 17 years of which has been at a Seattle based national consulting firm whose mission in part is dedicated to improving the lives of people in the communities in which they live and work.
When talking about the challenge for the underserved students at Franklin High School being able to afford tuition for college credit course (e.g. UW in High School) or the expenses for activities or experiences such as the prom, travel for field trips, sports, etc.), we wanted to help.
We understand the inequity in access to equal opportunities for the under-served student population, particularly BIPOC and LGBTQIA+. We plan to expand our reach to support additional opportunities not able to be funded through traditional means (e.g., PTSA involvement). We look forward to enriching the lives of as many students as possible, knowing that even small actions and investments can have meaningful impacts.
